Stamp-A-Faire Meet and Greet

Hi, everyone!  Michelle (abzzymom) here! I'm going to be spending Stamp-A-Faire alone in my craft room. I wish I could have gotten together with some crafty friends, but my schedule wouldn't allow it. So, I'm going to try to find some spare time here and there to play along with the challenges and enjoy this event.

Just wanted to say a big THANK YOU to Nichole Heady and the Papertrey Ink team for all the work they've done to put this event together. I'm looking forward to the challenges and tutorials as well as seeing everyone's amazing projects. I'm sure I'm going to find lots of inspiration to get my mojo started.

Have fun, everybody!

Strawberries

I'm playing along with the Paper Dolls Challenge: Fruit and a Sketch and the current Freshly Made Sketches Challenge. This has become my favorite site for card layouts.

My card is based on this sketch.

Here's my card.

I used paper from the Doodlebug Designs Sweet Cupcakes collection. The background was made using Strawberry Patch. I've had the Friendship Jar Summer Fillers set for months. I'm so glad I've finally got a chance to use it.

I had so much fun making this card, I decided to make another.

I kept the background simple for this one.

Thanks for visiting!

Paper Dolls Challenge #46: Spring Bling

Our Paper Dolls blog is up and running again.  Renee and Suzanne have posted our first challenge of the year. Come visit the Paper Dolls blog and play along for a chance to win some prizes. You can use supplies and products from any company. We have some new members in our group so be sure to check out their blogs on the sidebar.

This month's challenge is titled "Spring Bling".  Here's what I came up with.

The Rosie Posie set and heart border die have quickly joined my list of favorites.  They really add to a card.

The bling on the hearts seem like the perfect finishing touch.

Thanks for visiting and I hope you play along.

Gift Card Purses

I recently ordered the tutorial to make these really cute designer purses from Becky Roberts.  They are perfect for packaging gift cards. You can find out more about this tutorial here.
Here's the first purse.

Here's the second.

This is what the inside looks like. The gift card fits perfectly. I love the pearl "closure".

The closure isn't functional so I added magnets to keep the purses closed.

I love how they turned out. They were so girly!
