Papertrey Ink Blog Hop

Yes, I know it's been a loooong time since my last post for which I am sorry.  There's just not enough minutes in a day to do all the things that need to be done.

Surprisingly, I found a few minutes to make a card for this month's Papertrey Ink Blog Hop.

This month's challenge is to create a card with a black background.

My card is simple and didn't take long to make.  I die-cut the negative image of my Happy Hydrangea die out of the black card stock and adhered it to a white card stock base.  I then stamped the hydrangea onto the white base. The sentiment was heat embossed in white. Last, I added a die-cut bow and some bling.

Here's a close-up.

Thanks for taking a look.

  1. Long time for you too!!
It's been months since I've been able to play along...

  3. Glad you're back. I took a hiatus as well and i'm just getting back into it. I really like your card. Love the purple flower and your sentiment.

  4. Beautiful card and colours Michelle.

  5. Yay, Michelle! So glad to see you posting again. You've been missed. This is a wonderful card. Love the cut out. Hope all is well.

  6. Michele, this is GORGEOUS! I hate to admit i own this and have never inked it up. THX for inspiring me with your PRETTY card!

  7. Love the purple hydrangea against black!

  8. Wow--you don't list too many steps to make this card, but it is so beautiful. I can't believe it is that simple. That flower and the embossed sentiment really pack a huge punch.

  9. Very nice card...I love hydrangeas! I love the colors you used!

  10. It might have been fast, but the impact is stunning!
